Veronica Hartman

Veronica Lynn Hartman, 61, of Morgantown, joined her husband in glory, on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022, just six short days after his death. Though their hearts are broken, the family takes comfort in knowing they are together forever, never to be separated again.

She was born Veronica Lynn Rebold, a daughter of August and Sarah Rebold, on Oct. 11, 1960. Veronica grew up in Blacksville and was a graduate of Clay-Battelle High School.

Shortly after high school, she took a job in Morgantown, working in the Soup Kitchen at the Hotel Morgan. It was there that a mutual friend introduced her to her husband, Lonnie. Veronica and Lonnie started a family with their first son, Patrick, and shortly after welcomed their twin boys, Cliff and Clint.

Veronica was the best boy mom a son could ask for. She worked hard, keeping a home with her boys and was country to the core. She didn’t mind getting dirty, loved the outdoors and would even handle a snake if necessary. She was good at video games, knitting and crocheting and was very crafty.

Veronica would take a job during Christmas to make sure her kids had the best holiday ever. She always provided an abundance of baked goods during the Christmas season. She loved to read romance novels and recently had a passion for Star Wars and baby Yoda.

When her boys grew and left home, she stayed busy and found employment at Teletech, BB&T Bank, and most recently for BioSource as a customer service representative.

Veronica is survived by her sons, and their wives, Patrick (Nicole), Clint (Amanda) and Cliff (Katie); she was “Memer” to her beloved grandchildren, Breckin, Tori, Landon and Aria; brother, Mark, and sister, Michelle (Dave); her in-laws, Shirley, Gloria, Brenda, William “Fred” and wife Misty; several nieces and nephews; and her special cat, Joy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie “Butch” Hartman and her parents, August and Sarah Rebold.

Visitation will be held at the HOPE Church, 519 Hornbeck Road, Morgantown 26501, from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 2, and again from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. on Thursday with Pastor Joseph Donham officiating. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens. Services will be live-streamed on Veronica’s memorial page at www.fredjenkinsfuneralhome.com.
All guests will be asked to wear a face covering.
