Kenneth A. Frankenberry, 77, of Point Marion, Pa., died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022, at the Uniontown Hospital. Born in Point Marion, Pa., on May 11, 1944, he was a son of the late Merrill C. and Evelyn (Johnson) Frankenberry.
Kenny honorably served in the U.S. Army in the early years of the Vietnam Conflict and was a member of the VF.W. Post 747 and the American Legion, Post 499, both in Point Marion, Pa. In his spare time, he enjoyed repairing and restoring old tube radios and other early electronic equipment and talking on ham radios.
Kenny loved Point Marion, Pa. and was proud to call it his home. He was a wealth of information about the history of the community and had quite a collection of photographs from the early years. He knew all of the stories connected to those photos, and enjoyed relating that history to anyone who was interested.
Surviving is his wife, Marlene (DeSicy) Frankenberry; two daughters and their husbands, Stacy and Jim Moats, of Point Marion, Pa., and Kelly and Stephen Leonard, of Morgantown; four grandchildren, Rachel and Kimberly Frankenberry and Logan and Emma Moats; and one brother, Charles Frankenberry, of Greensboro.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kenny, in 2008, and a brother, Ronald.
Honoring his wishes, there will be no public services at this time. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion Pa.
