Carl Edwin Wise, 94 of Westover passed away Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. Carl was born Feb. 24, 1927, the son of the late Dorah Alpheus Wise and Arie Spitznogle Wise.
Carl worked for Monongahela Power Company for over 40 years and was a talented musician. Carl enjoyed woodworking in his shop and gardening. He also like being outdoors hunting and fishing.
Carl is survived by his daughter, Carolyn (Albert) Jones, of Mooresville; grandchildren, Donna (Steve) Normington, of Mesa, Ariz., Marcy (George) Rinehart, of Mooresville, and Roy Tennant; great-grandchildren, Andrew (Robyn) Walls, Derrick Walls, Elizabeth Tennant and David Tennant; and two great-great-grandchildren, Claire and Allison.
Carl was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Irene Eddy Wise, one son Allen Wise, one sister, Ruby Tennant, three brothers, Kenneth Wise, Herschel Wise, and Merle Wise, and one granddaughter Lori Tennant.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Wayne Kiger for all his help.
Private family services will be held at the McCulla Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Olive Cemetery, at 1:30 pm. on Saturday, Jan. 29. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery.
