MORGANTOWN — Here is a look at some of the bills introduced Thursday, Jan. 27. Local sponsors and co-sponsors, if any, are noted.

SB 493, to require each county board to ensure that all of its meetings are open to the public through in-person attendance and that the audio and video of its meetings are broadcast live to the public through an internet link on its website, and recorded with a link to the recording also available through an internet link on its website. Sen. Randy Smith, R-Tucker, Dave Sypolt, R-Preston, co-sponsors.

SB 494, to create the Broadband Carrier Neutral and Open Access Infrastructure Development Fund. Sen. Mike Caputo, D-Marion, co-sponsor.

SB 495, to require graduating high school seniors to pledge an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States.

HB 4421, to require a public service district, or a municipality included in a public service district to refund any charges to an owner of a privately owned swimming pool.

HCR 31, applying to the Congress of the United States to call a convention for proposing amendments that impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, and limit the terms of office for its officials and for members of Congress: and adopting certain reservations, understandings and declarations limiting the application.
