
Andrew “Drew” Michael Bukata, 41, of Morgantown, passed away unexpectedly at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital on Monday, Jan. 24, 2022. He was born on Monday, Feb. 18, 1980, in Johnstown Pa.; the son of Sandra Scaife and husband Joseph, both surviving, and the late Michael George Bukata.
Also surviving him in death are his beloved girlfriend, Julie Martinez-Aguilar, and her son, Luis Martinez Aguilar II. He is survived additionally by his son, Gavin Miller; his maternal grandmother, Mary “Nunny” Gorchesky; an uncle, Joseph Gorchesky; an aunt, Christine Kujawa; and several cousins.
Drew was a graduate of Richland High School, and he studied accounting at Penn Highlands Community College. He was a self-employed landscaper by trade and possessed a multitude of work skills, including plumbing, mechanics, painting and woodworking/carpentry.
Drew was an avid football fan, particularly fond of the Washington Football Team (formerly Redskins). He appreciated the creative ingenuity of the musician, Eminem. He also enjoyed drawing, cooking and watching movies. He was a pet lover, and adored his cat, Vada, and his Dachshund, Weiner. His greatest love, though, was his family, whom he loved deeply.
