Laren Denise Huggins Reedy, 47, of Rowlesburg, formerly of Morgantown, passed away on Friday, Jan. 21, 2022, at her residence.
She was born in Morgantown on March 9, 1974, the daughter of Larry and Vicki Miller Loughry, of Morgantown.
Survivors include her husband, Christopher Vance Reedy; her three children, Kayla “Pooh Bear” Huggins and partner Jason Weber, Emmah Dooley and Isaiah “Bubby” Dooley and partner Matthew Rogers; her grandchildren, MaKenna, Mason and Mya; her brother, Brian Loughry and his wife Janelle; and several nieces and nephews.
Laren had always been a cherished wife and mother. She was very proud of her three children and their accomplishments and always made time for them. She adored and cherished her grandchildren.
She was a loving and caring person, but she had a wicked sense of humor. She loved animals, had an appreciation for art and music and made a mean bowl of chili.
Friends may join the family to honor Laren’s life and legacy at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Westover /Morgantown, from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26, and again from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at noon on Thursday, Jan. 27. Following the funeral service and in accordance to her wishes, she will be cremated.
Face coverings inside the funeral home will be optional at the request of the family.
For family and guests in attendance at the visitation or funeral service, a dinner in Laren’s honor will immediately follow the funeral service at the Clinton District Fire Department.
