Cleo White

Cleo C. White, 89, of Panama City Beach, Fla., passed away Sept. 30, 2021. Cleo was born May 7, 1932 in Huttonsville, to the late Forest White and Lutie Rush White.

Cleo served in the U.S. Army as a corporal from 1951-1954. He retired as a shop supervisor from West Virginnia University’s Creative Arts Center in 1993.

He was a former member of Highland Park United Methodist church and also attended Calvary Baptist Church in Morgantown. He was also a member of McGregor Baptist Church in Fort Myer, Fla. and most recently attended Woodlawn Church in Panama City Beach, Fla.

Cleo is survived by his wife, Dorothy A. Wigham White. They celebrated 67 years of marriage on July 24. He is also survived by daughter and spouse, Linda and Tommy Bowden, of Destin, Fla.; grandson and spouse, Ryan and Amy Bowden, of Atlanta; granddaughter and spouse, Lauren and Lance Heisler, of Mobile, Ala.; great-grandsons, Bobby Bowden, Tee Bowden, Easton Heisler and Bowden Heisler; sister-in-law, Carol Meghan Miller; and father-in-law, William Miller, of Morgantown.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Edward Mace, Brian Mace, Robert Bay White, Orson White and Frank Goff White.

A memorial service will be held in the Chapel in the Grove at Seagrass Village, Panama City Becah, Fla. A memorial service will also be held in the Chapel at Meverly Hills Memorial Gardens, Westover, in the spring.
