Margaret “Peggy” Lucille Citro, 94, formerly of Washington, Pa., passed away on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at her home.
She was born on Jan. 24, 1927, in Washington, Pa., the daughter of the late Gustav and Bessie (Welch) Bauer.
Peggy was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Michael B. Citro Jr. and Russell G. Citro; grandchildren: Michael Morris, Jennifer Citro, Nicholas Citro, Summer Citro, Madison Citro and Evan Citro; great-grandchildren: Pantara, Jeffrey, Laya and Tyler; and her sister, Delores Gilmore.
In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her loving husband, Michael B. Citro Sr.; son, Mark G. Citro; and her five siblings.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 12. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, One Guthrie Lane, Morgantown, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 13, with the Rev. Msgr. Anthony Cincinnati, STD, VE as celebrant. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Washington, Pa.
