Surviving are her children: Mary Dyer and her husband Tom, of Clarksburg, Carole Hlavaty, of Cary, N.C., and John Snyder, of Ripley.

Also surviving are her grandchildren, to whom she devoted many hours to and served as an integral part of their life: Alex Guy, Nathan Guy and Daniel Hlavaty. As a tribute to their grandmother, they served as honorary pall bearers.

A private family service and entombment was held at St. Mary’s Peace Garden Mausoleum in Morgantown.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Harmony at White Oaks for their kindness and sincere hospitality during Marlene’s stay.
