Wilma Jean Marshall, 91, of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021, at Mon Health Medical Center. Wilma was born in Morgantown on Sept. 30, 1930, to the late Ernie and Elsie Rowe Criss.
Wilma was a homemaker and Pentecostal by faith. She also enjoyed crochet and ceramics.
Wilma is survived by her children: James Marshall Jr. (Nancy), of Morgantown, Roger Marshall (Brenda), of Morgantown, Richard Marshall (Diane), of Rising Fawn, Ga., Sandra Beckner, of Westover, Brenda Folk, of Pennsboro, Carol Strang, of Morgantown, Sue Chipps, of Bruceton Mills, and Lisa Austin (David), of Morgantown. Also surviving are grandchildren: Clyde Shaffer (Missy), Shawn Shaffer, James Boyers, Michael Boyers, Bobby Boyers, Randy Beckner (Nancy), David Beckner (Jennifer), Rhonda Butcher, Justin Austin (Kim Burnworth), Dave Marshall (Brenda), Crystal Adams (Travis), Richey Marshall (Stephanie), Amberli Salazar (Tavis), James Clarence Marshall, Angie Wolfe (Brandon), Ashley Marshall, Jeremy Strang (Janet), Mary Jane Franks (Donald), Colleen Jo Savage, Jamie Noel Neal (Richard) and Robert James Marshall (Danielle Huey); great-grandchildren: Tyler Shaffer, Breanna Shaffer, Brendon Shaffer, Kevin Norman (Heather) David Beckner (Dr. Victoria), Caleb Beckner, Megan Beckner, Silas Beckner, Holly Beckner (Christian Benson), David Dezzutti (Joyce), Andrew Dezzutti ( Britney), Brandon Beckner (Dr. Liz), David James Austin, Samoni Toth (Michael), Jenna Adams, Hunter Chipps, Madison Chipps, Benjamin Allen Marshall, Avery Parker Salazar, Zoey Salazar, Sascha Salazar, Jake Westerfield, Felicity Hagedorn, Josie Wolfe, Parker Wolfe, Madison Strang, Zachary Polen, Megan Strang, Erika Marie Spicer, Amanda Jane Spicer, Curtis James Savage, Aaron Savage, McKenna Jo Borgman, Sydney Lynn Borgman, Lucas Lee Borgman, Tanner Coal Rosenberger, Jimma Audrey Hope Rosenberger, Brantley Christian Scott Rosenberger and Briar Robert Thomas Riggleman; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Marshall, daughter: Charolette Marshall, sons-in-law: Bill Beckner, Earl Strang, and James Chipps, grandchildren: Roger Marshall Jr. and Gabrielle Blake Strang.
The family would like to thank Wilma’s children, Roger and Lisa, for being her primary caregivers and taking such great care of her.
Visitation was held at McCulla Funeral Home, from 3-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 21, and will also be held again from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, Dec. 22, with her son, Pastor Richard Marshall officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
