Donald Scott Tennant, “Scott,” 52, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021. He was born April 21, 1969, in Morgantown, the son of the late Clarence Tennant Sr., and Betty Jo Tennant.
Scott was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Tennant Jr., and James (Jamie) Tennant.
He is survived by one brother, Edward Wilmoth (Chrystal), of Morgantown; four sisters, Louise (Dave) Jenness, of South Carolina, Bonnie (Harold) Knotts, of Ohio, Dot McClung and Michele Kelly, both of Morgantown; and many nieces and nephews.
All who know Scott will miss him dearly. He truly brought joy to all his family and friends. He graduated from University High School in 1987 and from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in geology. Scott worked in the Monongalia County Court House in both the County Clerk and Assessor Offices for 17 years until July of 2020.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Morgantown Hospice for their compassion and care.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 23, with Pastor Rich Schimansky officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
