MORGANTOWN — A Ford F-150 traveling on Canyon Road late Thursday morning ran off the roadway, causing damage to several vehicles parked nearby.
West Virginia State Police Officer J.R. Cellapino, who was one of the responding officers, said the driver of the F-150 was traveling along Canyon Road toward Point Marion Road when he drove off the roadway, hitting a ditch, and causing the vehicle to become airborne.
Police said the vehicle traveled about 50 yards and flipped over, managing to collide with three other vehicles that were parked in the parking lot of Mason Ridge Townhomes.
According to Cellapino, the driver of the F-150 was taken to J.W. Ruby Memorial for evaluation after the accident, but no other injuries were reported.
Cellapino said that any charges the driver may face are pending results of blood test records.
In addition to state police, Monongalia County EMS and Brookhaven VFD responded to the scene.
