Arthur “Binky” Stanley Holbert, 61, of Twinsburg, Ohio, and formerly of Clarksburg, joined his precious daughter Moriah and sister Linda in Heaven on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021, following a battle with COVID-19. Art was born on May 15, 1960, in Clarksburg, a son of the late Harry S. and Beatrice E. (Matheny) Holbert.
He is survived by his wife Cindy, and son Jonathan and his wife Christine of Philadelphia.
He is also survived by his brothers, Harry A. Holbert and his wife Martha, of Enterprise; Arnold E. Holbert and his wife Diana, of Shinnston; and his sister, Deborah Jo Miller and her husband Paul, of Friendly; his brother-in-law, James McCray II, of Enterprise; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Moriah Alexandra-Elaine Holbert, and his sister Linda Sue Holbert McCray.
Art was a 1978 graduate from Shinnston High School, where he was Drum Major for three years. He graduated from Fairmont State College in 1981. He spent several years working at WVU as the pest control specialist, better known as “The Bug Man,” before becoming a well-known businessman for 20 years. His later career was as a respected subject matter expert in alternative fuels, serving in varying capacities.
He served on the school board at Alliance Christian School and Trinity Christian School. He will be remembered for his servant’s heart and giving nature. He never knew a stranger, just like his dad. He loved all things West Virginia. He devoted his life to Cindy, Jonathan and Moriah.

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 18, with Pastor David Goodin presiding. Interment will follow in the Enterprise I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
