Colomba DeFelice

Colomba “Cathy” (Mancini) DeFelice, 89, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021. Cathy was born in Collelongo, Italy, on June 2, 1932, to the late Lorenzo and Filomena Mancini.

Her spirit is carried on by her children: Tina Shinkovich and husband John, of Riverview, Fla., Paula Shilling and husband Curtis, of Point Marion, Pa., Dianne Robinette, of Fairmont, Denise Gribble, of Morgantown, Anthony DeFelice and wife Kim, of Morgantown, Victor DeFelice and husband Josh McCoy, of Morgantown, and Ann Marie Whitehair and husband Stewart, of Grafton; by her 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends, all of whom she dearly loved.

Cathy is now reunited with her beloved husband, Mario L DeFelice Sr.; her oldest son, Mario L. DeFelice Jr.; granddaughter, Angela M. Claypole, along with her parents and siblings.

Cathy was one of the fortunate ladies that was able to be a stay-at-home mom. She taught her children the importance of family and life lessons. She was an amazing woman with many talents. Above her many gifts and talents, the one she cherished was being a dedicated mother and grandmother to her children and family. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons during her 89 years and witness the incredible job she did in her journey. We will remember her strength, kindness and warmth, her energy and her love for her family and friends. She worked very hard all her life, up until the very end. She made a difference in the lives of many people. A private celebration of life will be held with family and close friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Cathy’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Donations can be made by referencing tribute number 22694253 by phone at (800)-822-6344, online at www.stjude.org or by mail to P.O. Box 1000, Dept 142 Memphis, TN 38148-0142. This would be a great honor to Cathy. She felt strongly to support this wonderful cause to help the children in need.

In accordance with Cathy’s wishes, Hastings Funeral Home has been entrusted with cremation arrangements and a private family committal service at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
