Classes resumed Thursday at Trinity Christian School, after a carbon monoxide leak earlier in the week sent some students and staffers to the hospital.
Superintendent Matthew Chavez said a faulty heater was the culprit in the Tuesday afternoon incident, which also forced an early dismissal.
A utility company tended to the issue at the same time while people reported to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital for observation, he said.
In the meantime, the school advised parents to monitor their children for any symptoms of carbon monoxide exposure.
“We know of 32 students and/or staff that were treated,” Chavez said in an email message.
Wednesday was a snow day for the private, faith-based school in Sabraton, and a Morgantown fire crew and that utility company used the time to inspect the building before giving the all-clear to reopen.
