Rhonda Sue Uphold, 68, of Kingwood, died on No. 30, 2021, at her home.
Rhonda was born July 7, 1953, a daughter of the late Ronald Eugene Sisler and Donna JoAnn (Hall) Johnson Boring.
She was a graduate of Masontown High School. Rhonda worked as a caretaker for many years for Wayne and Betty Fortney. She loved crocheting, camping, boating and caring for her many cats.
She is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Wilford Uphold; one son, Ricky Stout, of Masontown; one brother and spouse, Charlie J. and Tonya Johnson; her half sister, Debbie (Sisler) Howard; and three grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gary Shillingburg; and half brother, Ronnie Sisler.
Friends will be received at Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price St., from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3, and in the funeral home chapel, from noon until the time of the funeral at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, with the Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
The family requests that any memorial donations be made in Rhonda’s memory to the Preston County Humane Society, P.O. Box 395, Kingwood, WV 26537.
