Paul Earl Bolyard, 91, of Rowlesburg, died Friday, Nov. 19, 2021, at his home.
He was born Aug. 2, 1930, in Rowlesburg, a son of the late Jasper and Dora Cathell Bolyard.
Paul was married on May 10, 1969, to Phyllis Ridenour, who died on Oct. 27, 2021. He was a member of the Red Oak Gospel Temple Church, a member of Local 379, Laborers Union and loved farming, hunting, fishing and his grandchildren.
He is survived by two sons, Andrew Bolyard, of Rowlesburg and Thomas (Marcia) Bolyard, of Fellowsville; two daughters, Edna (Sheldon) Moreland and Angela (Joseph) Long, of Tunnelton; four grandsons, Tyler, Nathaniel and Brett Bolyard and Buck Moreland and his granddaughter, Emily Moreland.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Lee, Kermit and Hall Bolyard; his sister, Dorothy Wolfe; two brothers-in-law, Robert Wolfe and Kenneth Funk; and four sisters-in-law, Madilyn and Sarah Bolyard, Clara Stevens and Eleanor Ridenour.
Friends may call at the Burke Funeral Home in Rowlesburg, from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 22, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 23, with Pastor Robert Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at the Red Rock Cemetery.
