Dottie Lou Dailey, 80, of Morgantown, passed peacefully on Monday Nov. 15, at Stonerise of Morgantown. Dottie was born Jan. 13, 1941, in Morgantown, a daughter to Isaac and Frances Austin Grimm.
She was a graduate of Morgantown High School and worked at the Wash House for several years. Dottie was a skilled seamstress and a homemaker. She had the most beautiful flower beds and was a compassionate care giver to her parents. Dottie was also very involved in the South Point Community Association, which is dedicated to the preservation and perpetuity of the Matthew and Slab Camp Cemeteries.
Dottie is survived by her two children, Nathan Dailey and wife Tracey and Natalie Dailey, all of Morgantown; sister, Nancy Toth, of Bowling Green, Ky.; brother-in-law, Denzil Tennant, of Morgantown; grandchildren, Jacob Bradley and Evan Bradley (Maureen Palmer); and great-grandson, Owen Bradley, all of Morgantown. Also surviving is her dear friend, Patsy McCormick, of Morgantown.
Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Frances Grimm; sisters, Anna Tennant, Wilma Jones (Robert) and Helen Clower (Bill); brother-in-law, Robert Toth; and brothers, Richard and Howard Grimm.
The family will receive friends at the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 18, and again from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. on Friday, with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Matthew Cemetery.
