Robert “Bobby” Edward Wheeler, 51, of Kingwood, died on Monday, Nov. 8, 2021, at his home with his family by his side.
Bobby was born April 21, 1970, in Morgantown, a son of William Edward Wheeler Jr., of Kingwood, and Carolyn (Ward) Wheeler, of Kingwood.
He was a 1989 graduate of Preston High School. Bobby loved racing, cars, camping, hunting, football, cooking for family and friends and helping with Benefits for Children. Bobby cherished his family and friends, leaving those of us who knew him precious memories and love.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister and spouse, Kerrie and Terry Knotts, of Kingwood; nephew and spouse, Mitch and Mattie Thrift and niece, Karlee Knotts, all of Kingwood; two great-nieces, Haven and Henley Thrift, of Kingwood; and paternal step-grandmother, Clara (Wable) Wheeler.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William E. Wheeler Sr. and Norma (Prince) Wheeler Neubauer; great-grandmother, Audrey Prince; and maternal grandparents, Rudolph Ward and Wanda Ward Strahin.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price St., from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11, and in the funeral home chapel from 3 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, with the Rev. David Spence officiating. Cremation services will be under the direction of Rotruck-Lobb Crematory following the funeral. Social distancing and masks are required.
