Linda McGregor Lipscomb, 74, of Morgantown passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021, with her son and daughter-in-law by her side. She was born on Feb. 23, 1947, in Morgantown, daughter of the late Dallas McGregor and Glenevee Christopher.
She graduated from Bruceton High School in 1965. Linda worked as a human resources manager for HRDF/HRDE for
47 years. Linda loved to shop and was an avid cross stitcher, but most of all she loved to go to the beach with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sister, Sueann (McGregor) Loya and brother-in-law Chuck Loya; son, Christopher Lipscomb and daughter-in-law, Renee (Powell) Lipscomb; daughter, Heather (Lipscomb) Hopkins; and her five grandchildren: Olivia Hopkins, Caden Lipscomb, Colton Lipscomb, Cohen Lipscomb and Autumn Hopkins.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Wilford McGregor, and her longtime companion, Richard Lipscomb.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from
3-6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11. Visitation will continue at Hastings Funeral Home, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Pisgah.
