William “Bill” Boswell, 91, a resident of Morgantown for over 65 years and more, recently living in Troy, Mich., passed away on Sept. 29, 2021. His death followed a period of declining health.
Bill was born on Sept. 18, 1930, in Washington, Pa., the son of Elmer and Ruth Boswell. On Jan. 6, 1951, he married Elsie Likar, currently living in Rochester Hills, Mich. They were married for 70 wonderful years.
He is survived by two children, Cindy Christiansen and her husband Dale Christiansen, of Troy, Mich., and Bob Boswell and his wife Kim Larsok Boswell. Additional survivors include two grandchildren, Jessica Petras, of Canton, Mich., and Alison Christiansen, of Washington, D.C. Bill is also survived by his brother, Clarence Boswell, of southern Florida.
Bill worked for Dinsmore Tire and More Tire in Morgantown for 40 years. He was a baseball coach with numerous local teams for many years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
