Norman Harrison Cloud Jr., 82, of Mannington, passed away on Monday, Nov. 1, 2021 at Stonerise Nursing and Rehabilitation in Clarksburg. He was born Feb. 13,1939, in Roelofs, Pa., a son of the late Norman Harrison Cloud Sr. and Catherine Urmston Cloud.
Norman enjoyed working on cars, woodworking and remodeling houses. He attended the former Fellowship Baptist Church in Idamay. He graduated from Penn State University with a master’s degree in electrical engineering. He was employed by Mon Power and Dominion Power as an electrical engineer at the power stations.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Gail Martha Fowler Cloud; three children, Brian Harrison Cloud (Klaudia Lipford), of Fredericksburg, Va., Keith Alan (Veronica) Cloud, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Heather Lynette (Melvin) Riffe, of Mechanicsville, Va.; eight grandchildren: Andrew, Rebecca, Jessica, Brittany, Krissy, Noah, Kaela and Alex; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Norma Steffler, of Pennsylvania, and Marguerite Faytol, of North Carolina. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Jack Steffler and Rudy Faytol.
Friends may call at the Hutson Funeral Home, 3171 Husky Highway, from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. Burial will follow at the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover.
