Audrey Paulette Broughman, 68, of Bruceton Mills, (Centenary community), passed away Monday, Nov. 11, 2021, at her home.
The daughter of the late Warren “Cy” and Mary Ethel Sell Reckart, she was born Oct. 9, 1953, in Oakland, Md.
Polly enjoyed doing crafts with her grandchildren and niece, playing in poker tournaments, going to flea markets and scavenger hunts. She especially liked making biscuits and chicken gravy.
She is survived by her husband, C.A. Broughman Jr.; a son and his wife, Rob Reckart and Kathleen, of Bruceton Mills; three sisters, Peggy Sypolt and Nancy Reckart, of Bruceton Mills, and Brenda Turner, of Kingwood; a brother, Andrew Warren Reckart, of York, Pa.; two grandchildren, Mary E. and Mya Grace Reckart; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Polly was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Waugerman.
Due to the increased prevalence of the COVID virus, a public visitation will be held at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 3, and from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Thursday, Nov. 4, with Pastor Greg Bolyard officiating. Burial will follow in the Parnell Cemetery, (Cuzzart) Bruceton Mills.
Those in attendance are requested to wear masks and practice social distancing.
