Phyllis Lorene Bolyard, 82, of Rowlesburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 30, 1939, in Tunnelton, a daughter of the late Archie and Edna Loar Ridenour.
She was a member of the Red Oak Gospel Temple Church. Phyllis was a homemaker, loved gardening and enjoyed her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Paul Bolyard; two sons, Andrew Bolyard, of Rowlesburg, and Thomas (Marcia) Bolyard, of Fellowsville; two daughters, Edna (Sheldon) Moreland, of Rowlesburg, and Angela (Joseph) Long, of Tunnelton; four grandsons, Tyler, Nathaniel and Brett Bolyard and Buck Moreland; a granddaughter, Emily Moreland; two brothers, Clinton Ridenour, of Kingwood, and Robert Ridenour, of Tunnelton; and a sister, Lucille Funk, of Reedsville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Stevens; four sisters-in-law, Eleanor Ridenour, Dorothy Wolfe and Madilyn and Sarah Bolyard; and five brothers-in-law, Kenneth Funk, Lee, Kermit and Hall Bolyard and Robert Wolfe.
Friends may call at the Burke Funeral Home in Rowlesburg, from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 31, with the Rev. Robert Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Red Rock Cemetery.
