The City of Morgantown celebrated Arbor Day Monday at Krepps Park. The city arborist, tree board chair and the West Virginia Division of Forestry urban forestry coordinator helped assist in tree plantings, along with city council members and students.
Morgantown has been a “Tree City USA” for 20 years. Each year, the tree board organizes an Arbor Day celebration in the fall by planting trees in an area of Morgantown.
