Linda Darlene Carder, 70, of Morgantown, went to be with the Lord Oct. 18, 2021, after a run of illness with her granddaughter by her side.
Linda was born March 24, 1951, to late Delmar Davis Lowther and the late Leah Katherine Lowther Deavers.
Linda worked for the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in radiology for 27 years and has loved the retired life since leaving. She loved going to lunch with her grandkids, spending time with friends and family, watching Netflix, playing “Words with Friends” and watching her grandchildren grow. Most of all, Linda was a friend to anyone who knew her and loved by many. She was always thinking of others before herself.
Linda is survived by her son, Charles Carder II; granddaughter, Stephanie and her husband Eric Tenney; one grandson, Joshua Carder; brother, Delmar (Sue) Lowther; sister, Diana Carder; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and her loving fur baby, Susie Q.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles Carder Sr.; her daughter, Stacy Boggs; and many uncles and cousins.
Due to the exposure of COVID-19, the family will not be having visitations. Smiths Funeral & Cremation Care of Westover/Morgantown will provide cremation and a celebration of life will take place later on. The family has set up a GoFundMe page to help with final expenses, hospital bills and help for the family. Please visit Stephanie Tenney on Facebook for the link.
