Jacob Ryley Haas, 20, of Morgantown, passed away Monday, Oct. 18, 2021, at his home.
He was born on Jan. 5th, 2001, a son to John and Brenda (Barto) Haas of Morgantown.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Brenda (Barto) Haas, and is survived by his father, John Wesley Haas; three siblings, Breanna Ashley Hart and her husband Zachary Hart, Elias Lee Haas and Alexander Westley Haas. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as many friends.
Jacob was a resident of Morgantown at the time of his passing. He graduated from University High School in 2018 and immediately entered the workforce. He was ambitious, creative and a dreamer; he was also an avid gamer and loved his Xbox. Jacob was on his way to management at his full time job at BFS in Cheat Lake, where he hoped to eventually work for the Hazelton Prison as a guard.
He loved his family and his friends and had a bleeding heart for animals, just like his mother. He recently took in a polydactyl stray cat and named him Rex. He also loved his family’s other cats, Duke, Phoebe, Sam and Buddy.
Jacob’s request for cremation has been honored by his family.
Friends may join the family to honor his life and legacy at his Aunt Sandy’s residence located at 318 Dove Drive, Morgantown, WV 26508, from 3-6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30.
