Michael Ray “Mikey” Guthrie, 56, of Bretz, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2021, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, with his niece by his side.
Michael was born in Baltimore, on Oct. 4, 1965, a son of Ezra Grant Guthrie and the late Carol Ann Heady Wilkins.
He enjoyed hunting and riding his four-wheeler. He loved his pets and always did for others before himself. He was a hard worker and was employed by Robert Dunn Trucking for many years as a truck driver. He loved driving trucks and operating equipment.
Michael is survived by his wife, Gloria Dille Guthrie; three sisters, Lesley Guthrie, Janice Kerns and husband Alfred and Elizabeth Wotring; one brother, Andrew Guthrie; and many friends and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Adina Hilling; one sister, Ruth Ann Purtee; his stepmother, Mary Guthrie; and sister-in-law, Malissa Sue Guthrie.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, from 11 a.m. until the 2 p.m. service time Thursday Oct. 14, with the Rev. Sam Moon officiating. Cremation will follow.
Due to COVID-19, safety precautions will be taken, the social distancing 6-foot rule will be honored and all guests, whose health allows, are to wear a mask.
Memorial donations may be made in his memory to Field Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
