Blanche Lucille Saab, 94, of Morgantown died Oct. 9, 2021. Born June 18, 1927, in Wallace, she was the daughter of the late Kicer Moses and Annie Khoury Edde Saab.
Blanche worked as the office manager of Finn’s Dress Shop, and prior to that helped to manage Saab Brothers Department Store. In her retirement, she worked alongside her sister and brother-in-law at the Davidson-Mancinelli Funeral Home and helped to raise her great-niece and nephews. She was a graduate of St. Francis High School and St. Francis Business College in 1946.
Blanche was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, and formerly a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and its choir for 28 years, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and St. Francis Catholic Church.
Blanche is survived by her sister, Agnes Mancinelli, and her 14 nieces and nephews and their spouses, including, Vincent and Michelle Mancinelli, Dr. Corrie Mancinelli and John Forester, Beth and Scott Wyant, Mark and Tracy Mancinelli, Robert and Patricia Alexander; MaryAnn Dodson, Barbara and Carlton McKinney, Karen and David McMichael, John and Marguerite Alexander, Kay Michael Alexander, Dr. Diana and William Burke, Paula and Erik Heben, Michael and Tammy Saab and Brenda and Nick Colasante. She is also survived by her great-nieces and -nephews: Liana Forester, Eric Wyant, Julian Wyant, Anya Mancinelli, Gianna Mancinelli, Nathan Mancinelli, Lucas Mancinelli, Sophia Mancinelli, John McMichael, William Burke, Nicholas Burke, Kimberly Alexander, Stephanie Alexander, Melanie Alexander Kincaid, Tiffany Alexander Dolly, Jennifer Dodson Carney, Alicia Alexander Helms, Michael Alexander, Preston Heben, Payton Heben, Nicolas Colasante, Ali Royce, Andrew Saab, Matthew Saab, Regina Saab Scott, Steven Saab and David Saab; and great-great-nieces and -nephews: Jane Alexander, Raleigh and Halston Helms, Rylan, Adelai and Grayson Carney, Luisa Scott, Maddox and Cora Cecilia Dolly, Catherine and Carter Kincaid and Kennedy Royce.
In addition to her parents, Blanche was predeceased by her siblings, Cecilia Alexander, Peter Saab, Paul Saab and Joseph Saab; and her brothers- and sisters-in-law: Vincent Mancinelli, John Alexander and Joan Saab. She was also preceded in death by her nephew, Timothy Saab, and great-niece, Heather Dodson.
Due to concerns with COVID-19, the immediate family has elected to honor Blanche’s life and legacy privately with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Star City with interment to follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Clarksburg. There will be no public visitations or services.
