Free notary service now available at the library

The Morgantown Public Library System is now offering free notary services at all of its locations, including the main downtown library, its four branches — Arnettsville, Cheat Area, Clay-Battelle, and Clinton — and its historical archival arm, the Aull Center for Local History.

“We get asked by community members at least once a month if we have a notary,”  Sarah Palfrey, library director, said. “We are all about helping people gain access to information and opportunities. Sometimes getting a simple form notarized can be a big hurdle. By offering the service at all six of our locations we hope to make it a little easier.”

This new library service is free of charge. Call ahead of time to make sure a notary is available (https://www.mympls.org/contact/). Be sure to bring a photo ID (IDs expired for no more than 3 years are acceptable) and do not sign the document(s) before the appointment.
