Thomas “T.J.” James Walters, 24, of Lakeland, Fla. and formerly of Morgantown, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sept. 6, 2021. Thomas was born in Morgantown on Oct. 31, 1996, to his parents, Bobby and Judith Walters.
T.J. was a young man who had a love for life. He always had a smile on his face that shined. He would do anything for his family and friends. He loved being in the country, hanging out with his friends and listening to music.
Thomas is survived by his parents, Bobby and Judith Walters; his older brother Alan Walters; grandparents, Rick and Judy James; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and many great friends that he loved so much.
Thomas was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Weldon Mac and Nancy Walters; uncle, Michael Walters; and maternal grandparents, William and Charlotte Langan.
We will be having a mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Star City, on Oct. 9 to celebrate his coming home to our Lord Savior. Visitation starts at 10 a.m. with mass following at 11 a.m. We will gather after mass in the church hall for a casual lunch.
