She was also loved and will be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Joyce grew up in Preston County and was loved and will be mourned by her many friends and relatives who still live in Preston County and those who have moved away yet still remained in her heart.
Joyce was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She retired from IBM after 23 years of service and then enjoyed decades of retirement traveling, refinishing furniture and cherishing time spent with family members. She was a long-time member of Saint Thomas United Methodist Church and a dedicated member of the Dorcas Circle. Throughout her illness, she was continually uplifted with prayers, friendship and love by the members of the Saint Thomas church family.
