Janet Irene Shipp, 83, of Grafton Road (Brown’s Chapel), passed peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, in Morgantown. Janet was born Dec. 20, 1937, in Morgantown, to the late James H. Stimmell and Esther Nuce Neville.
In addition to her parents, Janet is preceded in death by her husband, James F. Shipp; four brothers, Billy Joe Stimmell, of Hebran, Ohio, Durwood Stimmell, of Lancaster, Ohio, Gaylord Stimmell, of Georgetown, and Lewis Stimmell, of Wheeling; and two infant siblings.
Janet is survived by her brother, James P. Stimmell; three children, James F. Shipp Jr. and wife Mary, Debra (Shipp) Danley and husband Mark and Rick Shipp; six grandchildren, Eric Danley and wife Anna, Chad Danley and fiancé Kelcie Sturgeon, Brandon Sylvester, Kayla Ann Wolfe, Marie Johnson and husband Mark and James Shipp III; three great-grandchildren, Ryan Danley, Regina Jolliffe and James Jolliffe; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral service.
