Monica Jean Moore, 63, of Daybrook, died Sunday Sept. 26, 2021, in Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown.
She was born Feb. 9, 1958, in Morgantown, the daughter of Raymond C. Brewer and Ruby Tennant Brewer.
She was a graduate of Clay-Battelle High School with the class of 1976 and a cosmetologist by trade. She was also employed by the Monongalia County Board of Education for several years. She loved crafting and crocheting. Her favorite sport was riding a motorcycle with her husband of 36 years, Danny Keith Moore, who survives her.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a son, Chad Allyn Chisler; a daughter, Carissa Dawn Chisler, and a stepson, Tony Moore, all of Daybrook; two brothers, Kevin L. Brewer (Carla), of Daybrook and Darryl C. Brewer (Mary Ann), of Blacksville; grandchildren, Colby Allyn Chisler, Gage Michael Hathaway, Forrest Evan Lewis and Christopher Hall; nieces, Stephanie Burnette (John), Tabitha Brookover, Katy Bolyard (P.J.) and Hayley Brewer; nephew, Hunter Brewer; and several great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Allisha Marie Moore; paternal grandparents, Plummer and Clara Brewer; maternal grandparents, Mildred and Guy Hoskins, all of Blacksville; and her father and mother-in-law, Carl W. and Freeda J. Moore of Daybrook.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday with the Rev. Freddie Eddy II officiating.
