Robert “Bobby” Goodwin Jr., 60, of Kingwood, died on Sept. 24, 2021, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born on Oct. 31, 1960, in Kingwood to Robert Eugene (Brenda) Goodwin Sr., of Kingwood, and Rita Louise (Hayes) Goodwin, of Oakland, Md.
He was a 1979 graduate of Kingwood High School, married the love of his life, Robin, and celebrated 39 years of marriage. Bobby enjoyed boating, playing monopoly with his family and enjoyed anything to do with his family.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Robin (Hawkins) Goodwin; two sons, Dillon Robert Goodwin and fiancée Nicole Lawless, both of Kingwood, and Landan Brock Goodwin, of Kingwood; five daughters, Tabitha Rynn Jeffries and fiancé Miles Clark, of Kingwood, Logan Brooke Robertson and husband Christopher, of Mooresville, N.C., Katie Elaine Colley and husband Logan “Lumpy,” of Morgantown, Jordan Gage Goodwin and fiancé Benjamin Robinson, of Kingwood, and Lexie Morgan Goodwin, of Kingwood; mother and father-in-law Darlene (Dalton) Hawkins and Millard Hawkins, of Kingwood; one sister, Holly Goodwin, of Punta Gorda, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Darla Calvert (Bobby), of Cheat Lake, and Becky Hawkins, of Slanesville; seven grandchildren, Tyler Jeffries, Sarah Jeffries, Lakin “Ruby” Nicholson, Jaxon Nicholson, Elijah Goodwin, Watson Goodwin and Gabriel Goodwin.
He was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Richard “Rick” Wade Hawkins and Brenda Hawkins.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel; 295 South Price St., from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26, and from 2 p.m. Monday, September 27, until the time of the funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 4 p.m. with Pastor Derek Syruws officiating. Entombment will be held at the Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Kingwood.
The family requests that any memorial donations be made in Bobby’s memory to the Trinity Football League, Trinity Christian School at 200 Trinity Way, Morgantown, WV 26505.
