Mrs. Haidee Leah Toothman, of Pleasant View Community, Rivesville, passed away at her residence on Sept. 18, 2021. Heaven received an angel today. She was born Dec. 12, 1916, in Monongalia County, the daughter of William B. and Margaret (Maggie) Thorne. She was the last surviving member of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Toothman; two brothers, Hal and Horace Thorne; two sisters Hilda Cain and Helene Merrill; one daughter, Phyllis Hiser; and one grandson, Gregg Faydock.
She is survived by three children, Janice Hamrick and husband Cleo, of Rivesville, Richard Toothman and wife Eleanor, of Fairmont, and Judy Mobley and husband Earl, of Fairmont; one son-in-law, Tom Hiser, of Morgantown; eight grandchildren, Robert Hiser and wife Melissa, of Morgantown, Kim Hofmeister and husband Jay, of McMurray, Pa., Kathy Ameno and husband Kenn, of Florida, Jeff Hamrick and wife Nancy, of Charleston, S.C., Mike Hamrick and wife Vonda, of Utah, Joan Grubler, of Glen Dale, Rick Toothman, of Morgantown, and Ben Faydock and wife Julianne, of Corona Calif.; 21 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a very special person, loved by all that knew her. She was a member of Rivesville United Methodist Church. She had been involved with 4-H in Monongalia County, school cook at Hagans Elementary School, a waitress at Drummonds Restaurant, floral designer for Webers Florist and worked with the Paw Paw District Fair for several years. She loved her gardening and flowers. She made quilts and crocheted for her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook and bake and shared with everyone. She loved her family unconditionally. She will be missed by all.

Friends will be received at the Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, Second Street, Rivesville, from 2-7 p.m. Wednesday and from 11 a.m.-noon, Thursday. The funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home, at noon, Thursday, Sept. 23, with the Rev. Stanley Merrifield presiding. The interment will follow in the McCurdysville Cemetery. The Toothman family has entrusted the care and arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, Rivesville.
