Rose L. Harvey, 96, of Mount Morris, Pa., died at 8:08 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, at home.
She was born Wednesday, Oct. 22, 1924, in Mount Morris, Pa., a daughter of the late William H. Donley and Jessie Core Donley.
Mrs. Harvey was Methodist by faith. She was a graduate of Morgantown High School Class of 1942 and a graduate of Morgantown Business College. Mrs. Harvey was a member of the Alpha Iota Chapter of the Phi Rho Zeta Sorority. She enjoyed sewing, baking and doing puzzles. She really loved spending time with her family. She had worked for the War Price and Rationing Board in Morgantown as a secretary. She also worked for the Mare Island Supply Depot in Mare Island, Calif. and was a homemaker. Her Husband, John Keith Harvey Sr., whom she married on June 15, 1944, died on June 8, 2017.
Surviving are two sons, John K. Harvey Jr. and wife Judy of Morgantown, and Greg A. Harvey and wife Linda, of Mount Morris, Pa.; three grandsons, Jeff Harvey, Brad Harvey and Ryan Harvey, four great-grandchildren, Shauri H. Morrison, Clay Harvey, Canon Harvey and Holden Harvey; one great-great-grandson, Greyson Harvey; one sister, Virginia Hostetler, of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is onebrother, Joseph E. Donley; maternal grandparents, Charles E. and Laura Price Core; and paternal grandparents, William Arthur and Minnie Fox Donley.
Friends will be received in the Milliken and Throckmorton FH,Inc. Daryl L. Throckmorton Owner/Director, 324 Mount Morris Road, P.O. Box 478 Mount Morris, PA 15349, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 20, with Pastor David McElroy officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mount Morris, Pa.
