Guyla Rae Gans, 87, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021, at Wheeling Hospital. She was born Dec. 24, 1933, in Cheat Neck, a daughter of the late James Wolfe Sr. and Edna Shaffer Wolfe.
Guyla is survived by her husband, Estol Gans; brother James Wolfe Jr.; sister-in-law Bonnie Wolfe; son, Mark Gans; nephew, James Wolfe III; niece, Tracy Lynn Wolfe Stobbe.
In addition to her parents, Guyla was preceded in death by her sister, Marjorie Wolfe Goodwin; brother-in-law, Chester Goodwin; and several nieces and nephews.
Guyla enjoyed playing music, yardwork, cats, crossword puzzles and talking on the phone.
Her family will her miss her mightily.
A graveside service will be held at the Wolfe Cemetery, Fairchance Road, Morgantown, at 1 p.m., Friday, Sept. 17, with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
