Tonja Lane Bishop, 54, of Kingwood, died on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
Tonja was born March 19, 1967, in Morgantown, a daughter of Joseph Robey and Polly Ann (Sypolt) Elliott.
She was a 1985 graduate of Central Preston High School, a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Kingwood. She loved to be with her family and friends, especially her animals.
Tonja is survived by her husband of 33 years, Patrick Everett Bishop; one daughter and spouse, Shelby Lane and John Thorn, of Kingwood; her sister, Stephanie Graham, of Kingwood; her brother and spouse, Rodney and Kathy Elliott, of Morgantown; mother-in-law, Frances Bishop, of Kingwood; sister-in-law, and spouse, Lynn and Kenny Peters, of Grafton; brother-in-law, Michael Bishop, of Apex, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Everett C. Bishop.
Friends may call at Appalachian Hotel/Hitching Post Event Room, 17600 Veterans Memorial Highway, Kingwood, from 4-7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 11, the time of the celebration of life service with the Rev. Jonathon Nettles officiating.
