Randolph Charles Statton, 63, of Fairmont, passed away on Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 17, 1958, in Beaver Falls, Pa.; the son of the late Carl Eugene and Dorothy Goddard Statton.
Randy worked at WVU Medicine as a supervisor for United Linen Services. He regularly attended the Fairmont Free Methodist Church. Randy loved the Lord with all his heart and was a dedicated Christian. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who also enjoyed animals and his two dogs, Mollie Rain and Sammie Troy. His greatest love was family and time spent with them.
Randy is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Connie D. (Hibbs) Statton, of Fairmont; two sons, Randolph Charles Statton II and his wife Michelle and Michael Eugene Statton, both of Gordonsville, Va.; two daughters, Kimberley Scott, of Gordonsville, Va., and Tiffany King and her husband Jacob, of Ruckersville, Va.; three brothers, Ron Statton, of Pennsylvania, Richard Statton and his wife Andrea, of Fredericksburg, Va., and Ray Statton and his wife Sandy, of Spotsylvania, Va.; one sister, Karen Reese, of Fairmont; three great-grandchildren, Lillian Michelle King, Abraham King and Genevieve King; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by one nephew, Mat Reese.
Family and friends are welcome to call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday. A service will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, with Pastor Carl Radcliff officiating. In keeping with Randy’s wishes, his body will be cremated following the services.
