Shirley Ann Swanger, 76, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021, at Mon Health Medical Center. Shirley was born in Morgantown on July 27, 1945, a daughter of the late Norman and Mary Hess Gillum King.
Shirley worked as a dietician for 40 years at Mon Health Medical Center. In her spare time, Shirley loved reading and being outdoors, especially camping.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 49 years, Marvin Earl Swanger; canine friend, Angel; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her sisters, Goldie Goodwin and Bashley King; and brother, Everett Gillum.
Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Wednesday, Sept. 1. Burial will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
