ROMNEY — In a new era for Preston football under head coach Mark Deep, the Knights got off to a sluggish start, especially offensively, in a 21-0 road loss to Hampshire on Friday night.
PHS had 14 penalties worth 144 yards and only had 100 yards of total offense — 91 of which were the responsibility of quarterback Trevor Thomas.
It was a close game in the first half with the Trojans holding just a 7-0 lead, but two second-half touchdowns put the game out of reach.
Preston will take on fellow Big 10 foe next Friday.
