Sean “Paddy” Patrick Kelley, 50, died on Sunday, Aug. 15, 2021, as the result of a stroke, surrounded by family. Many knew him from his time in the Morgantown area music scene (hosting open mics and playing with the Bearded Clams and Hogblast), his time bartending (Prime Thyme, 123 Pleasant St.) or from his long-standing presence as a player for Chico’s Bail Bonds, the world’s best worst softball team.
He could make anyone feel welcome with a drink, a game of chess or a good conversation. He loved gaming (D&D, video games and tabletop games), music (listening as well as playing) and his dear friends and family, particularly his wife and children. He was a dedicated husband and father, and he will always be a Lost Boy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Erin; his daughter, Lana; his son, Finnian, of Morgantown; his parents, Harold and Norma, of Carmichaels, Pa.; his sister, Lisa and husband Scott Miller; his brother, Scott, of Carmichaels, Pa.; his mother-in-law, Amy Donahoe, of Morgantown; and his brother-in-law, Scott, and wife Kayla, of Morgantown. He is preceded in death by his eldest brother, Michael, and his sister-in-law Judy.
Hastings Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. Memorial services will be held in Morgantown at a future date.
He will be missed by many. Until we meet again, second star to the right …
