Gail Elaine Summers, 79, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021, at her home. She was born March 20, 1942, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Edgar and Opal (Nicholson) Murray.
She was a Protestant by faith and was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie and her husband Roy, Donna and Kerry and her companion Robert; son, David and his wife Dawn; eight grandkids, Erica, Heather, Zach, Dannah, Jordan, Daymean, Madison and Devon; 10 great-grandkids, Jacob, Andrew, Alexis, Mackenzi, Delaney, Jovee, Rhett, Liam, Callan and Brinley; brother, Gary Murray; special cousin, Sharon Wolfe; and nephews, Mike Murray and his wife Marty and Tim Murray and his wife Suzie.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Durward Gary Summers; and sister-in-law, Janet “Tommy” Murray.
Hastings Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements, with visitation and services previously held.
