The Triune Halleck Volunteer Fire Department Fair weekend starts at 4:30 p.m. Friday with a chicken dinner at the VFD social hall on Halleck Road.
Chief Roger Shuttlesworth said the $12-a-plate dinner sells out every year, and the fair as a whole is an important fundraiser for the department.
At 6 p.m. Friday, the Jeffery Wayne Band plays followed by a horseshoe competition.
Saturday, a parade will begin at 4 p.m. at the bottom of Tom’s Run Road. That will be followed by a ham dinner, opening ceremony, multiple pageants for children ages 1-9, the Shane Masters Band, a horseshoe competition and music by DJ Cam.
From 6 p.m. to close each night, there will be games, a children’s Ferris wheel, dime pitch, merchant’s raffle, 50/50 drawing, art displays and vendors.
