Brian was born in Morgantown, on June 10, 1990, a son of Pamela Kay (Waldeck) Larew and husband Daniel, of Tunnelton, and Marvin LeRoy Matthew Jr. and wife Alice, of Independence.
He was a 2009 graduate of Preston High, an honorary member of the Tunnelton Fire Department and a member of the On Target Church, where he loved to attend on Sundays. He loved to go for long rides, sitting outside under his shade tree, watching Youtube videos, WVU football, music, hunting, big trucks, firetrucks, listening to his scanner, watching his nephews ride dirt bikes, the Fireman’s Parade at the Buckwheat Festival, going to Tygart Lake to watch the boats, sitting by the campfire and, most importantly, he loved his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by so many.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters that loved him dearly, Jennifer Jennings and husband Eric, of Thornton, and Rachel Hoosier and husband Stephen, of Tunnelton; seven nieces and nephews, Gavin, Reagan and Quinn Jennings, Maddox and Krew Lantz and Audrey and Anna Hoosier; two grandmothers, Carolyn Matthew, of Reedsville, and Evelyn Waldeck, of Reedsville; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Marvin Matthew Sr. and Raymond Waldeck.
