Dustin Scott Henry, 26, of Morgantown, passed away July 10, 2021.
Dustin was born in Morgantown, on May 20, 1995, the son of Bryan Scott Henry and Sherry Lynn Hughes Henry, of Morgantown.
Dustin was a champion motocross racer and avid skateboarder. He enjoyed playing hockey, hunting and was an excellent welder and fabricator. Dustin was a lover of music, and a kind and generous free-spirit. Dustin graduated in the top of his class at Mountaineer Challenge Academy, with the highest academic points. He was 3rd Platoon Leader and received the Leadership Award, Instructors List, Honors List, won the Commandants Cup (twice), Level 1 PT Award, 3-D Award and Mentorship Award. Dustin was also the President of the Student Senate. Dustin was a beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend.
In addition to his parents, Dustin is survived by his sisters, Halie Martha Henry-Thomas (Matthew), of Charleroi, Pa., and Alisa Dawn Hunter, of Atlanta, Ga.; brother, Marcus Kory Krushansky; of Morgantown; stepmother, Tammy Lynn Henry, stepsister, Jami Lynn Rhodes, of Waynesburg, Pa.; stepbrothers, Matthew Dale Rhodes, of Morgantown, and Dustin Lee Rhodes, of Mount Morris, Pa.; paternal grandparents, Scott and Joan Henry, of Bruceton Mills, and Sandra Lee and Dusty Wade, of Morgantown; maternal grandparents, Violet Boyce and Thomas Austin Hughes Sr.; paternal great-grandmother, Bonnie Cain; uncles, Tim Henry (Lisa), David Henry (Sonja) and Tom Hughes (Marcia); and several nieces, nephews and many cousins.
Dustin was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, K.K. and Martha Henry and Richard Cain.
In honoring Dustin’s wishes, McCulla Funeral Home provided cremation services.
Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover, from 5 p.m., Thursday, July 15, until the 7 p.m. memorial service.
