Everett Arnold Sine Jr., 79, of Fairview, died July 8, 2021, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
He was born at home on Sept. 8, 1942, in Jakes Run, a son of the late Everett A. Sine Sr. and stepmother, Ruth, and Ellen Summers and stepfather, Wesley Carl Jarvis.
On Dec. 27, 1963, he married Betty Lou Shriver, who preceded him in death on May 22, 2021.
He was a retired coal miner from Loveridge Coal Mine in Fairview. He was a constable for Monongalia County back in the late 1960s. In his younger days, he was a former truck driver, mostly hauling livestock. He loved going on horse and buggy rides.
He is survived by children, Joseph Everett Thompson and wife Nicki, of Alabama, Betty Jo Little Woodling, of Texas, Everett A. Sine III and his companion Beth Lewis, of Jakes Run, Bobbie Jo Sine, of Morgantown, and Edward A. Sine and wife Ysuara, of Jakes Run; grandchildren, Ashley, Brittney, Steven, Reno, Kristina, Alex and Dheaglan; great-grandchildren, Tristan, Sophia, Aubrey, Scarlet, Kayden, Nasir, Kristopher and Takota; sister, Carla Rogers and her husband Larry, of Morgantown; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Bailey and husband Roger; brothers, Jack Wayne Sine, Kenneth Kyle Sine and Charles Lloyd Jarvis; and a grandson, Tommy.
The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home — Curry Chapel, 100 Grant St. in Fairview — from 5-8 p.m., Monday, July 12, and from 1-3 p.m., Tuesday, July 13. The funeral will be at the funeral home at 3 p.m., Tuesday, July 13, with Joyce and Rob Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at McCurdysville Cemetery.
