Eugene Francis “Jack” White Jr., 81, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, in his home state of West Virginia.
Jack was born on July 18, 1939, a son to the late Eugene and Vesta (Ellinger) White.
He graduated from Kingwood High School and West Virginia University. He served in the United States Army. He was employed as Budget Director for Anne Arundel County Schools; and after retiring from there, he resided in the area of Fort Myers and Naples, Florida. Jack was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing his grand piano.
Jack is survived by a son, Eugene Francis White III; daughters, Tammera Lou Nutter and Tonya Lynn Bray; one sister and spouse, Janice and Jim Crane; grandchildren, McKendree Gene White and Erica Renee Sypolt, Todd Daniel Nutter and Kassidy Dell Nutter; and great-grandchildren Waylon Sypolt and Sophia, Solomon and Silas Nutter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph White.
Jack’s wishes for cremation are being honored by his family. Internment will be at Maplewood Cemetery.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 10, with Pastor Tom Strahin officiating.
Cremation and other arrangements are under the direction of Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel and Rotruck-Lobb Crematory in Kingwood.
