Don Smith, who represents Preston County Commission on the board, said anyone bringing CRTs to be recycled will have to pay a $5 cash-only fee, no matter the size. He said the City of Kingwood will have a 3-ton dump truck on hand to take CRTs.

Sowers said he received seven complaints about individuals who threw old meat out in the road and on the rail-trail. He found five garbage bags full of meat in one spot.
Sowers said he finally found out who has been throwing out Kentucky Fried Chicken Boxes along the road.
“For two years he’s been dumping boxes along the road,” he said. “This time, one of the boxes had a full receipt attached to it with a name.”
Sowers had not taken action as of Wednesday.
Sowers praised Terra Alta Mayor James Tasker for his work with the recycling center.
“It’s clean,” he said of the building. “The guys are well-dressed and polite, and the truck is always on the road. They (workers) drive up every street. I didn’t realize how many people are putting out cardboard now that it’s being picked up.”
